Young adults face challenges that make them vulnerable to, and experience, addiction in different ways. Our flexible treatment programs provide effective care to overcome addiction and still continue studying or maintaining the responsibilities of a young adult.
From our center in Braintree, MA, we have different outpatient programs that specifically serve young adults.
Individuals attend sessions in-person and afterward return home. This flexibility means that young adults can receive high-quality care for addiction and still stay close to their support networks and routines. They can also continue studying if they’re enrolled in a school.
The sense of independence is particularly important for young adults who are creating their sense of self while recovering.
Our full day treatment program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Care includes individual therapy, group therapy, skills-building, and wellness activities throughout the day.
Full day treatment is suited to young adults who are stable enough to live at home, but are in the early stages of recovery.
Our half day treatment program runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM. It’s best for young adults who are stepping down from full day treatment.
The quality of care doesn’t change between full day treatment or half day treatment, just the number of contact hours.
We also have evening sessions available for young adults who can’t attend during the day.
All our team memebers are licensed medical professionals, experienced with working with young adults and addiction.
We are accredited by the Joint Commission, one of the most rigorous independent quality standards in behavioral health.
We tailor all treatment based on young adults’ medical history, current challenges, and goals for the future. We factor in the unique social elements that often influence addiction among young adults.
Our outpatient programs enable young adults to continue studying while they undergo care. The structure can improve engagement with treatment and support treatment outcomes.
Our facility is in Braintree, Massachusetts — accessible from Boston, Quincy, Milton, Weymouth, Randolph, and surrounding South Shore communities.
We combine evidence-based therapies with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in severe cases, and holistic activities.
Our approach facilitates comprehensive healing for young adults, and includes:
Trauma-Informed Care: Identify and process trauma that drives addiction.
EMDR Therapy: Bilateral stimulation to safely address underlying trauma.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Learn to cope with distress that fuels drug and alcohol use.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Challenge negative thoughts that surround addiction.
Group Therapy: Share stories and skills with peers who are also struggling with addiction.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): FDA-approved medications to manage withdrawal
Expressive Therapy: Creative activities to communicate experiences and emotions in a healthy way.

Addiction can manifest in many different ways among young adults. It may involve behavioral changes such as isolating, sleeping more, eating less, and having mood swings. It may also involve having a new friend group, struggling with finances, and drops in performance at school.
None of these signs alone is confirmation of addiction, but they can be the starting point for an open conversation with young adults about substance use.
We offer outpatient programs for substance use disorder, including for alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. With our care, young adults attend sessions at our center in Braintree, and return home afterwards.
We have a full-day program that runs Monday-Friday from 9AM to 3PM. This program is suited to young adults who have finished a residential program, or who need intense support.
Our half-day program runs Monday-Friday from 9AM to 12PM. This is suited to young adults who are more stable, but still require structured help.
We combine evidence-based therapies, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and wellness activities in our care. Therapies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the triggers and deeper causes of addiction. MAT is available in severe cases to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
Yes, our outpatient programs provide the option for young adults to continue studying if they are enrolled in a school program. For many people, the option to continue studying provides a sense of independence and normality that can improve treatment outcomes.

I am a patient with Trinity Wellness for substance use disorder treatment, and I recommend them highly.
What stands out about Trinity Wellness is their genuine care about patients and their clear commitment to put patients, not profit, first. They offer the most flexible programs I have come across in their field, and they truly work to meet each patient where they are in life.
It’s too rare to find a place like this where truly good people are striving to just do good work for the people they serve, and doing so without compromise.
If you are looking for intensive outpatient or long term maintenance treatment for substance use disorder, I recommend you look to Trinity Wellness first.
(I am a real person using a pen name here for privacy given that I am not yet ready to share publicly my struggles with substance use disorder.)

Trynity Wellness has been my saving grace. They got me into a program in as little as 3 days after our first call. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s literally saved my life. The people are there to support you for as long or as little as you need. The owners and instructors are so personal and chill! We’re all just helping eachother get through this crazy and scary world one day at a time. Thank you Trynity!
