A structured day program designed to help you heal from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges through evidence-based therapy, medication support, and trauma-informed care.
Dual diagnosis treatment addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders at the same time. Co-occurring conditions are common, with more than half of individuals in addiction treatment experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Mental health conditions can increase vulnerability to substance use, while substance use often intensifies psychiatric symptoms, creating a cycle that is difficult to break without comprehensive care.
Dual diagnosis programs focus on stabilization, recovery from substance use, and treatment of the underlying mental health conditions that contribute to addiction. Care typically includes individual therapy, group counseling, peer support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), case management, skill development, and holistic therapeutic services.
Many individuals seeking treatment for substance use also experience co-occurring mental health disorders, making integrated care essential. Understanding how often these conditions occur can highlight the importance of dual-diagnosis treatment programs.
Day treatment is an intensive, structured program for individuals recovering from mental health or substance use disorders, including those with dual diagnosis.
It provides a more comprehensive level of care than traditional outpatient therapy while allowing patients to return home each evening, offering the support of a hospital-like program without requiring full inpatient admission. Day treatment bridges the gap between inpatient care and outpatient therapy, helping individuals transition safely while maintaining connections to their home environment, family, and community.
During day treatment, clients participate in a variety of therapeutic activities tailored to their recovery goals. A typical schedule includes individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, trauma-informed care, skill-building workshops, and holistic activities such as mindfulness, yoga, or creative arts.
Medication management and case coordination are also integrated to ensure continuity of care. This structured approach not only addresses symptoms of mental health and substance use disorders but also strengthens social supports, rebuilds relationships, and reconnects clients with their communities, fostering long-term recovery and resilience.
Our dual-diagnosis day treatment program offers a supportive community that promotes emotional well-being, mental and physical health, and spiritual growth. Clients have access to a full range of services to support long-term recovery, including:
Individual Counseling:
Personalized DBT and CBT sessions tailored to your goals. Clinically trained therapists help clients manage difficult emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Group Therapy
Peer-led sessions that foster connection, understanding, and a sense of community.
Trauma-informed care
Therapies like EMDR target deep trauma using guided eye movements and auditory stimulation to reduce emotional distress.
Family Therapy
Structured sessions can improve communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, strengthening family dynamics.
Medication Management
Clinical oversight for medications, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) options such as naltrexone.
Aftercare Planning
Individualized transition plans to ensure continued support after treatment, coordinated with case managers.
Holistic Healing
Yoga, creative arts, and other therapeutic activities help process stress, trauma, and cravings.
Nutritious Meals
Healthy, customizable meals crafted by our trusted catering partners to support recovery.
Our program is structured in a four-week cycle, with each week focusing on distinct therapeutic themes and skills to support ongoing recovery and prevent relapse:
Focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, and foundational psychoeducation topics, including understanding how mental health challenges drive addiction, co-occurring disorders, common challenges in early sobriety, identifying triggers, and stages of change.
Focus on emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and the importance of community and relationships in sustaining recovery, as well as the ability to start over after lapses and relapses.
Integration of advanced DBT skills, trauma processing, and coping strategies for personality-specific challenges in recovery.
Consolidation and implementation of skills with support from clinicians and recovery coaches with lived experience and preparation for transition to aftercare.
Please contact our admissions team for assistance with insurance questions, financing options, and to discuss how we can support your treatment journey.

I am a patient with Trinity Wellness for substance use disorder treatment, and I recommend them highly.
What stands out about Trinity Wellness is their genuine care about patients and their clear commitment to put patients, not profit, first. They offer the most flexible programs I have come across in their field, and they truly work to meet each patient where they are in life.
It’s too rare to find a place like this where truly good people are striving to just do good work for the people they serve, and doing so without compromise.
If you are looking for intensive outpatient or long term maintenance treatment for substance use disorder, I recommend you look to Trinity Wellness first.
(I am a real person using a pen name here for privacy given that I am not yet ready to share publicly my struggles with substance use disorder.)

Trynity Wellness has been my saving grace. They got me into a program in as little as 3 days after our first call. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s literally saved my life. The people are there to support you for as long or as little as you need. The owners and instructors are so personal and chill! We’re all just helping eachother get through this crazy and scary world one day at a time. Thank you Trynity!
