We use evidence-based clinical approaches combined with the power of peer support and integrated wellness activities to help transform lives. Our clinical therapists emphasize empathy, integrity, and authentic support in your recovery process. The mission of Trinity Wellness Group is to foster a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
Evidence-based therapies are treatment approaches based on peer-reviewed, clinical research for substance abuse and mental health disorders. They are regularly rigorously tested and reviewed, and shown to be effective.
These therapies address underlying psychological challenges, social factors, and behavioral influences that contribute to substance abuse and mental health problems. They may also focus on teaching coping skills to prevent relapse or mental health crises, such as self-harm or suicide.
Mental health and substance abuse therapies help clients identify destructive thoughts, feelings, and emotions, build emotional resilience, process underlying trauma, develop mindfulness, improve emotional regulation, and manage intense emotions.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was initially designed for Borderline Personality Disorder. However, it is highly effective for treating complex emotional issues, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. DBT focuses on enhancing psychological well-being, teaching patients how to effectively manage negative feelings, and reducing the likelihood of relapse.
During DBT sessions, therapists and patients collaborate to develop skill sets in four key areas: distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills can help patients manage intense emotions, challenges, or setbacks, improve mood, reduce stress levels, and strengthen relationships.
EMDR is recognized by the World Health Organization and the National Center for PTSD as a first-line approach to treating trauma. It targets regions deep in the brain using guided eye movements and auditory stimulation, such as tapping or vibrations.
This helps patients reprocess how the brain perceives trauma and reduce associated emotional distress that drives mental health challenges and substance abuse. EMDR is conducted in a structured, 8-phase process, and patients often see an improvement in trauma symptoms after 6 to 12 sessions.
These are forms of psychotherapy that use the power of the visual arts (painting and drawing), music, dance and movement, drama, and writing. These help facilitate emotional healing and self-discovery, and can boost one’s self-esteem or help patients find their purpose.
Expressive therapies help our clients process trauma, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. They also encourage personal growth and foster a holistic healing experience by connecting the mind, body, and spirit.
CBT is a commonly used therapy for treating a wide range of mental health and substance abuse problems. It focuses on restructuring negative thought patterns that drive rumination, low self-esteem, and depressed mood. It also teaches patients how their thoughts influence their belief systems, moods, and behaviors.
CBT therapists help patients develop positive coping skills, implement positive lifestyle changes, and set goals both for in and outside of treatment. CBT is a first-line treatment for several mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
Isolation is one of the number one drivers of addiction and mental illness. Our day programs embrace the power of developing a positive peer network to help you overcome feelings of isolation, loneliness, and hopelessness. Break the cycle of addiction, trauma, or whatever mental health challenge you’re experiencing.
Peer-facilitated group sessions, under the guidance of a licensed therapist, foster an emotionally safe space for sharing stories, building connections, and creating feelings of mutual understanding.
Structured sessions with loved ones help improve family dynamics involved in addiction and mental health disorders, focusing on improving communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills as a family unit. Other themes family therapy helps with include forgiveness, trust, boundaries, and conflict resolution.
Family therapy plays a key role in long-term recovery, developing a positive support system, and helping people smoothly transition out of inpatient care.
Activities such as trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness practices, and creative arts help patients develop self-awareness, relieve stress, process trauma or tension stored in the body, alleviate cravings for drugs or alcohol, and contribute to overall positive mental well-being.
Our day treatment programs provide patients with access to yoga classes, guided meditation sessions, and creative workshops, promoting emotional processing and the healing of mind, body, and spirit.

When I came in, I was lost. Now I feel stronger, and I know what steps to take. The people here treated me like a person, not just a patient.
